THAT'S SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LAME TO SAY MAN LMAO
Can't they just release it as an add on? Or hell, just use mod options and make it a toggle option for their mods with different skins!!
There's much more nuance to it than that.
They aren't self centered devs. They wanted something cool for themselves and/or other people, and so they put extra time and effort into their own project for it. You want some cool ♥♥♥♥ like that? Make it yourself, or interact further into the community.
Also, you say only to the dev. They aren't, lmao. Every single skin Lam has made, there's at least one other person who has it. Either friends of theirs, or say, tournament winners. Because yes, there are a lot of skins you can get from tournaments.
I can personally attest to this, as I have several things for several characters. Niflheim's throne intro, Elder's Blate skin, Fallen's Sound Goddess skin to name a few.
All gained through tournaments or yanno interacting with the people who make my favorite mods.
Not every skin is gonna be available for others to get, and you'll just have to accept that lol
Anyways, to finish off my points, skill issue.
There is zero incentive to get those skins the hard way if you are nothing more than a literally casual gamer who likes their game to look nice.
I detest the fact that I have to change my name to use the skins, mostly because it came from a character gifted to me by a dear friend of mine. I wouldn't HAVE to do this if skins were freely available to all who look for them and end up wanting them.
For instance, personal OC's on Lam's part.
Or for the character I'm making, there's a skin that's essentially a love letter to my girlfriend. I ain't giving that ♥♥♥♥ to anyone else.
You can play the character at their base. You don't have to change your name. You don't have to use the skins. They weren't made for you, plain and simple.
Complaining about changing your name to get the skins is the stupidest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. You chose to take the easy way, so deal with the light consequences lmao.
I don't know what sense of "gifted" by friend you mean, but this made by me and weren't specificly meant for you, and top of that I am not your friends, so what are you even malding about lol.
The name of the character that a friend gave was the one I had BEFORE being forced to change into a copy of you just to enjoy a new look on the characters in the game.
I dislike changing my name because of something so petty, but you seem to understand exactly WHY it is petty, since you acknowledge the loophole and do nothing to make it easier for people to have their skins without so much extra trouble.
If you want to make a skin that isn't for everyone you should only use it on singleplayer mode, otherwise you are just taunting others with things that they normally cannot have.
The skin wasn't made for you.
The name thing is a loophole that exists purely because Lam couldn't get it working off of steam user IDs back when they first started doing them.
Be thankful the characters even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exist. Lam, nok, Fathe, and all the other modders work hard on these characters, usually for free.
They can treat themselves. And you don't have to be a ♥♥♥♥♥ about it.
Either get the skins the normal way or stop complaining about the name thing, jesus.
dog stop acting entitled, the skin isnt for you, and its not for others, its not taunting to enjoy something THEY MADE lmao
maybe with a cherry on top
