He rely on luck to gets enough damage to deals with elite and bosses but you needs to not gets too much luck so the shop would recommended item that common/rare "increase item picking range."
Maybe i'm wrong cause i haven't try him on difficulty lower than danger 5.
I agree. I played with him several times as well at danger 5. Seems unwinable and not fun, unless you hit insane luck.
I had max dodge, a lot of pick range (and thus a lot of damage and attack speed), and still got destroyed by elite stomping me to death.
it might work if you add a lot of +damage to the character against bosses and elites
That's so cool that you've done this work! If you have a file I can look at you can send it to me if you're also on the Brotato discord server, or send me a Steam friend request if you need to DM and find another way to send it.
I don't have a way to verify the translations other than Google translate so I'll do a cursory look that way, but if it looks good I can add it in the next patch.
I don't know if this is the intended interaction, but on top of run-ending penalties when struck, he effectively plays without level-up system. That's because he doesn't pick up materials, so even 50% increase that he gets is woefully insufficient.
I only get first level-up at around wave 5 if I'm lucky.
Agent isn't a Patamods character
On a side note, today I was playing as collector and the game started lagging really hard when I reached an high number of weapons. From what I can tell, other chars that have more than 6 arms do not have the same problem. Is it a known issue? If I can help in any way I'll be glad to.
Edit: just unlocked the Monocle and I was wondering if there was a particular reason why the discount is kept relatively low. Was it too broken with higher numbers? 15% is something that is obtained quite often via coupons and with it being red and unique, the discount could be pushed to 50% or 40% if the downside went up to the same number, or even more. I'd see picking it for 50% discount even if it was -90% hp, just to attempt a broken economy, cannon-glass run. I'd probably pick it even if the hp went to 1, which would probably be the most balanced option. It's a rare occasion anyway and you can carry only one. Also, fits very well thematically with the idea of the fragile but precious item. Just my two cents ofc.
Thanks for the super cool mod and for all the love you clearly put into it!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback and the reports where you've had issues or think something needs changing.
I think Stuck is in a good spot right now, it took a lot of iterations to get here. You have to build pretty well to be a boss-killer ASAP for when elites arise since they often sit on you, so being generous with the economy was the best fix I found. I like the theme of digging for materials whenever you step away from attacking (although the animation is now frozen since a prior game update must have changed it sadly).
I'll have a look at how other characters (AKA Baby) handle having high weapon limits, in case there is anything there that I can tweak to optimise it. It may just be a performance issue but doesn't hurt to check!
With Monocle I didn't want to make it too much of a "always take" item, especially with characters like entrepreneur you could end up with -100% item prices if it were a -50% item price pickup. With curse now, assuming it auto generates for modded items, I'm sure Monocle is already pretty great. That's something I need to test actually haha. It's good early in runs or in endless, but you it isn't something you "need" for economy and would feel bad if RNG never found it.
Thanks again for the feedback!!
As for the lag, tonight we did some testing and tried to disable all other mods. In a three player game, 24 weapons each and the game was running almost perfectly so it surely was a compatibility issue. Adding back mods and trying again we narrowed it down to Pentato/Share items/Show tags. Next time we can narrow it down further if it is of any help.
I totally see your point on Monocle, thanks for clarifying. I still hope to see it get a "buff" someday because I always imagine unique/red items as exciting and game changing, but what you said makes perfect sense. 50% is clearly too much even with the worst downside. I did not consider curse and entrepreneur so I guess that's why you are the one making cool mods and I'm the one playing haha.
