and also i think you should edit the DB stats that all the units would have higher damage with a zero hitpoints for all the units so it would be more hard and brings up the excitement for this mod.
The newest update has all new costs for buildings and new recruit-able generals are also another thing that money can be thrown at. You said "At turn 30 you already know that its going to be snowballing" Have you played and got past turn 30? Trust me, you will need your money. As for full stack garrisons, I'm not sure of what difficulty you are playing on but most if not all factions keep a smaller garrison in most cities and have their main armies on the move. No factions keep a stack in cities during any of my play-through and during testing. I will look into making negative effects for certain buildings, this mod is still WIP and anything and everything can be changed.
I'm not sure what I can do about the walls, I can make them more difficult to get but would require balancing per culture. As for the battles, again if you are playing at recommended difficulty, battles are quite long especially if you are fighting decent units. I have had battles last 40+ minutes.
This mod will never have a no hitpoint system. This would break alot of the effects in battle. Battles are already "deadly" units are tweaked from the original as well as having new units and units ported from BI and Alexander(soon). Battles would not be fun or worth playing if every unit had zero hitpoints. Battles would not take as long and would not be enjoyable at all in my opinion. What do you mean by "fantasy units" ? This mod does not have one man units or super strong units. Every unit has a counter and it is for you to figure out. This mod is suppose to be hard and strategically played. Battles are meant to be played not steamrolled through with a zero hitpoint system. I know someone has asked about making a rebalance and it may do what you are asking but for the base mod it will not have that.
