Schizo Possessed

This workshop item is absolutely wrong.
The devs were right to change the name from "schizo".

Schizo is short is schizophrenic. It is usually a derogatory term. And no schizophrenia does not involve multiple personalities.
Dissociative Identity Disorder is the diagnosis for multiple personalities. It is rare among rarities and is often faked to garner attention.
Schizophrenia on the other hand involves hallucinations, delusions, heavily disorganized thought processes, and even catatonic states. A good way to describe this is someone who cannot differentiate between a dream and reality.

However, people always seem to associate schizophrenia with multiple personalities anyways. You can tell they are faking it if they call themselves schizo/schizoid/schizophrenic and then say they have multiple personalities.

This workshop makes light of both. Perpetuates a terrible cliche. Worse, the author wears it like a fashion statement.

Quote: "In the English language, Schizo means split, plain and simple. The character in game splits or divides his or herself into multiple playable personalities. Therefore they are schizo. They perform a schism of the self. That is why we use the word schizo to describe them."
Schizo is short for schizophrenic. Schizo does mean split, while phrenes (for phrenia) means mind. So it means split mind (insanity), not multiple personalities.

Quote: "I am sorry if you are offended, but I am not offended, and I get called a schizo all the time. In fact I am Schizo, it is in my very human nature."
Faker detected.

For additional info:
Schizo - A schizophrenic person. (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition)
Schizo - an individual affected by schizophrenia. (www.Merriam-Webster.com)
Schizo - a person with the medical condition of schizophrenia. (dictionary.cambridge.org)
Schizo - a schizophrenic or schizoid person. (www.dictionary.com)

Can't believe people make light of this sort of thing, let alone pretend to have it. Shameful.

Unsure who you are saying to not be a bot. Those quotes are not mine, I merely responded to them.
If you are talking to me, I double-majored psychology and psychiatry at NMSUA. Although that either means very little or people simply don't believe me.

So instead I urge everyone to seek out proper knowledge from professionals on the issue. Here is a good starting point: https://psychcentral.com/schizophrenia/did-vs-schizophrenia

Edit: Ah I forgot you are the creator of this absurd workshop item. Welp, enjoy the read, you definitely need it.

@Anky Your ad hominem insults have no power here. Even the link you posted earlier doesn't agree with you. Did you even read it? Get with the times, my friend, you don't get to wear a mental disorder that you clearly don't have like a trendy hat.
