@[TC] Toaster Oven - Yep, any sound mod that doesn't directly change the sonar sounds is compatible.

Would it be possible to play this in singleplayer? One fix I already saw is the Lua mod which could prevent bots from dying when entering the ballast rooms filled w/ water and theoretically reducing the random chances of death each run.

@Robo7988143 - Yeah, absolutely. The mod is much more enjoyable in single-player now. I still wouldn't recommend leaving the sonar on, though.

I have Lua on correctly and I dont take damage in the ballasts, but my bots do. Am I doing something wrong? Im guessing lowering the suit ping volume would be the easiest fix.

@Lemon - If you're playing online, ensure the server is also running the Lua executable. Otherwise, as long as you've installed Lua correctly, it will work fine. And remember, if the ballast tank has a hull breach, there is nothing to stop the sound from killing anyone inside.

You can test if the hull detection is working by using the ballast pump to fill the tank with water while you're inside it. If you take damage or hear the wrong sound, that means Lua isn't installed correctly.

Could you please explain why the sonar doesn't work on some ships from the workshop?
because I'm trying to switch subs in the campaign that I'm playing with friends but the sonar mod does not work on the ship we chose could you please help me solve this problem?

@Pax™ - If the ship uses a custom navigation terminal from the workshop, unfortunately, there's not much we can do. This also applies to subs that use shuttle navigation terminals (these will be getting a custom overhaul in a future update).
Let me know what sub you're trying to use, and I'll make a note of the terminal. If it's from a popular mod pack, we can release a separate patch in the future that enables Real Sonar on that terminal.

@Pax™ - No worries! I don't have a time frame for that at the moment. Sadly, my colleague and sound engineer who creates all the wonderfully horrific sounds had his monitor break, so I am working on other features until he returns.

Is there a guide for treating the afflictions with neurotrauma installed? Sorry if its somewhere obvious and I missed it

@Jufo - We haven't released the Neurotrauma and Real Sonar affliction integration yet, so the afflictions are treated no differently with Neurotrauma. There is, however, the added treatment option of amputation/transplant.
