The 6x40 is an assault rifle round, so it's weaker than 7.62x51 but slightly better than 5.56x45. I don't plan to give it any significant buffs, but I will be adding a 8x59 rifle round for the upcoming sniper rifle and LMG.
Potentially yes, but for now my priority is to get the armor and some new weapons out there. Do you have an idea on what colors you want to be used for the weapons?
Edit: If not, I might code the patch myself, if that's no problem?
That's totally not a problem, go for it! The reason why I didn't make the Grendel a warcasket weapon is that I didn't want it to be warcasket-exclusive, and AFAIK warcaskets can use regular weapons anyway (might be wrong there, didn't play them much).
To business: I target practiced on a prisoner, to make sure, and here's the result of him eating 2 bolts point blank: https://i.imgur.com/f5r6hls.png
Other target practice yielded mostly the same results.
Now, I know the only reason an unarmored fleshie didn't get disintegrated by 2 bolts is balance, and I'm fine with that. But that aside, I think there's very little bleeding going on. Besides the bleeding caused by him missing an organ, the other two wounds are mostly 'blunt', with only one of them having a small bleed on it. As the name of the wound implies, 'Shredded', shouldn't there be a LOT more bleeding going on?
Besides that, I was wondering if you thought about spreading the guns across a tech chain, two-three at the most, instead of having them all in one tech? I feel like it would give a bit more sense of progression instead of "here's all the stuff, enjoy!".
As for the research - yes, there will be more techs that give access to the different variants of the existing weapons. I plan to introduce this in the coming months, so stay tuned))
