Report a translation problem
However, I've made some adjustments to the enemy's pages so that even if the bug reappears, you could still win the clash against the enemy most of the time.
I've also fixed the buff which enemies gain, they should be able to stay ''closed''.
I've changed the narrative on the ''Related Pages'' to make it a little more clear.
Once you get the ''Related Pages'', you can give it to Angela whenever you have time, and Angela will gain 4 stacks of ''Related Pages''(buff). The buff will tell you how many more pages you need to collect.
Note that when you give the ''Related Pages'' to Angela for the first time, Angela will not show the buff ''Related Pages'', which is already a problem in the game. After giving the second page, the buff will be displayed normally.
''Everyone is out of light on turn 4, assuming everyone played a page on turn 3 when under the timer.''
Does that mean the librarians will not restore the light? Or they have restored the light, but only 1 light remains?
I also tweaked the effect of Netzach's "Having A Blast", it should work properly.
It’s quite alright to dislike the time limits in the strategery games, cuz I don’t like it either.
Still, for the story, time limits is necessary.
Regarding your edit, I guess it's because I put the ''UnityEngine.AssetBundleModule'' and ''UnityEngine.UnityWebRequestAudioModule'' both dlls into the folder.
So I’ve removed them, please let me know if the same error log appears again.
Yeah, only 1 light. I should've worded that better. The "Where is it" costs 2 light so no one can play it. That 1 light is spent on Netzach if I play his "Having a Blast" and that brings him down to 0 light.
In that case, I could only suggest you try to clash alternately instead of using the pages of all patron librarians' in the first three Scenes.
But now that I've fixed the buff of the enemy, you might not encounter the problem of lack of light anymore.
Good news: the librarians are properly immobilized now, so I don't have all 10 live immediately.

This also means the patrons don't run out of light since there are only 3 clashes per scene. Also, 30 seconds is plenty of time to set up 3 clashes.
Bad news: I instantly lose right after turn 4 ends anyway. I don't understand why. I used Angela's on play page to open all floors and I also played Netzach's drink. I didn't see anything happen (other than losing a light) from using the drink though.

Also, in this run, I quickly gave Angela all 3 "Related Pages" - during the timer, so I did it quickly. But it still remained in the librarian's hands?

I dunno what's causing me to lose... https://i.imgur.com/ent2d5X.jpeg
Edit: Good news: "please let me know if the same error log appears again." It has not appeared again.
About the bad news, I have a few suggestions for you.
1. re-subscribe the mod. Maybe something was left out when downloading, I'm not sure.
2. re-download Library of Ruina. Sometimes the game itself is already flawed.
3. Reboot. This is likely to be of little use, still, give it a try.
4. Use the game cheats.
I don't encourage the use of game cheats. Nonetheless, getting through is still the priority, and I could hardly find out what the problem is at the moment, so please be no ashamed to use game cheats.
Edit: The reason why you instantly lose right after 4th Scene is because, due to the game mechanics, the number of Scenes in which the player and the opponent do not play cards cannot be greater than or equal to 3.
Generally speaking, it can be avoided by giving all librarians some effect or buff. But if your drinks' effects don't work properly, you will lose.
After passing the battle, you will get the books which enable you to continue to finish the entire reception of the mod.
Hope it would help.
Edit: I'll make a English version video about the Story-4 battle, so as to let those people who have the same problems as yours could know what exactly happened in the battle.
And this time, borderline vanilla to avoid any possible conflicts of mods.
Nothing changed.
Well, you could still get through the version without the mini-game, right?
That’s the only solution I could provide for now.
I will say, the minigame does seem to be a lot of fun, even in just the few rounds I was able to play, so I'm hoping you get it all fixed and stuff.
Btw, thanks for responding.
I appreciate you for reporting the problems to me~
This is my game: https://i.imgur.com/1KmkMr4.png
This is from your video: https://i.imgur.com/Nh8Lzs6.png
This is still the 4th Reception.
Sure enough, I don't have the arrow to scroll down and see the other librarians; unlike your video.
I have no idea if this is relevant or anything. I just wanted to point it out. I'll be trying out the 5th reception in a bit.
Edit: can confirm, the arrow is also missing from reception 5. https://i.imgur.com/4xSqIxm.png
Well, good news: I can give the papers around as intended.
Bloody clever design, if you don't mind me saying.
Bad news: I cannot progress once I give the first stack of papers to Angela.
https://i.imgur.com/CTWM9A0.png I click on it -> click on Angela's speed dice
https://i.imgur.com/VbTM5gU.png and it poofs, but no progress is made. In your video, there is dialogue that appears and stuff, but that does not happen.
It does return to Roland's hand next scene though, https://i.imgur.com/1alLkcQ.png
So I tried fiddling with it, by trying to give it to someone else but I can't. I can only give it to Angela and it doesn't seem to work.
Edit to clarify: Everyone's hands are empty except for the first stack of papers in Roland's hand. Even if I skip the turn without trying to give Angela, the situation doesn't change.
Also, the game hasn't booted me for failing. I'm at scene 12 and the situation is stuck.
I'm now working on an easy version of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 reception. This version will allow you to have almost the same experience as the original version and successfully pass the game without losing.
Meanwhile, I need your help to do the things below.
1. Please try to use the Yan's ''Prescript page'', or the Hana Association's ''Gon of Four Trigrams page'' in any other battle, so as to see if those pages give buff or effect normally.
I found your problem is mainly with the "immediate use" pages, especially those that give special effects or display battle dialogues.
If the game originally had the page has been unable to give the buff or effect, it's the game itself out of the problem, not the mod.
2. Download the mod that shows the error log.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2854734428
Once you activate this mod, two cmd's will pop up after entering the game, one of which will record the error log when the game is running.
Please copy the error log recorded in the cmd when you play the original chapter 4 and chapter 5 receptions, and send them to me.
Note that if you click on the black screen of the cmd, the game will stop running. Not to worry, you just need to press Enter, so that cmd can continue to record the error log.
I've looked at the screenshot of your reception in Chapter 5, it seems that everyone can be on the stage. This mean that the arrow disappears only temporarily? Or do all librarians are already on the stage after you enter the battle?
Although getting through the easy version will take much longer than the original version - cuz it will be very difficult for the player to pass the game without dialogue prompts - you could still persevere, and check the pages and its contents in the librarian's hand from time to time.
Considering the effect of ''immediate use" pages doesn't work for you, the easy version allows you to skip the round and start the next one.
Since the easy version of Chapter 4 reception is still being adjusted, I have removed the version without battles for now.
BTW, please tell me if Dorit was beside Angela when she was using the area attack to bind Dorit's pages.
Edit: okay. I launched the game -> played through the reception as far as I can -> copy pasted the entire cmd prompt into a notepad file.
Then relaunched the game -> played through the other reception as far as I can -> copy pasted the entire cmd prompt into another notepad file.
I did the find and replace thing on both.
I sent you a steam friend request so I can DM you all the text of the cmd? Or maybe you can DM your discord to add you on discord and there I can upload the notepad file?
Also, I never saw Dorit. x_X;
Edit again: I did the "easy version" of the 5th reception and yes, she appeared. That was fun!
https://i.imgur.com/zET0zE7.jpeg
Also, "may as well" I made a third notepad file for whatever happened in this reception too.
