Go put the people in sit mode and if they have helmets disable the collision of it. The go into pause once the person you want in the tank sits and drag them to the seat

I'm not sure if it's a bug but projectiles can pass through the front plate without any resistance killing the crew in the process or if something hits the turret ring theres a chance of ricocheting back at the crew killing them once again
