Factory issues
it seems like the either the mod is broken or the ai dont know how to use the mod factory's
as i have tried about everything i can to get them to produce ammo and they just wont produce ammo for some reason, and it occasionally hangs with the production of other things as well even tho storage is plenty

Thank you for your report. I will have a look at it.
I presume you mean all the factories from this mod or several of them?

Having said that, I have actually tested these factories before releasing them and I found no issues with them at the time, but I will see if I can find anything wrong with them.

I can't tell if it could be a conflict with another mod. It shouldn't from what I know about how factories work.

Any extra details you can come up with is welcome. I will let you know if I find anything.

So I've created a setup in creative mode using one of my testships. I placed 5x5 storages on either side using mirror mode. The left storages and right storages were not connected.
The left storages were connected to 2 advanced ammo factories and these were connected to 8 advanced large cannons.
The right storages were connected to 2 standard ammo factories and these were connected to 8 standard large cannons. The storages were filled with appropriate materals for the factories to consume.

I then set an invulnerable ship close enough for all the cannons to shoot at, which both sides did. Both types of factories continued to supply and be supplied as they should without having to set any supply links and using default resource priorities.

I then did the same thing but using advanced HE missile launchers and default HE missile launchers and these also worked properly.

So thus far everything seems to work as it should and I have not been able to reproduce your issue.

However, having tested I did notice I have still not given the factories proper factory floors, so the floor indicate the wrong resources. When in resource management it does give the proper resources. I keep forgetting to make proper floors for the advanced factories, but I think it's a good idea I actually do this.

i did manage to get it to start making some ammo, but it seems like it wont out put all that it can for some reason or another, might i make one suggestion in the advanced missiles factory it says it converts HE missiles to advanced but it does not state it takes regular ammo as well to do so. and it took me a good minute to find that mistake. so maybe add in the flavor text the requirements for the factory's to produce goods. i think that would help a lot

If I mouse-over the advanced HE missile factory in the build menu it sais this:
"Manufactures upgraded guided High-Explosive missiles using ammo and he missile parts".
When mousing over the factory itself while holding ALT there is still some text missing. My apologies for the latter.

Due to personal reasons all my modding activities have become significantly delayed and my main focus is to 1) keep mods running and fix crash bugs and 2) to add new features.

Even though you are right and it is a good QoL improvement (and it is planned to happen eventually), atm I'm trying to spend what little time I have for modding on the things I think have the highest priority. Refining the factory descriptions and floors is however on my todo list for a while now actually and if all is well it should eventually happen.

I'll usually keep the factories running on dedicated factory ships and I kinda never need to read the flavortext anyway, but for players who aren't as familiar with these factories, adding the flavor texts and adding proper factory floors is a good idea and will happen eventually.
