Positive Traits: Probably some form of Axeman/ Lumberjack/ Brawler and as much STR and FIT and Nimble as you can. Consider Adrenaline Junkie?

Negative Traits: Anything that doesn't affect fighting; might consider even Claustrophobic because sleeping indoors in a small space might be a big problem if you get surrounded... and you'll be fighting a lot, preferably outside?

OR

Just go ranged with Veteran and Hunter and all the Aiming and Reloading and FIT and Nimble you can.

General strategy:

Find a big place with many exits and entrances to kite/ fight the initial horde then...

...take exploration warily in case you've waded too deep when the next wave comes.

Maxing out on a massive base is probably pointless because once you clear an area you really are only dealing with the Z's that randomly relocated into your location radius from the fringes... :Thedead: ... dependant on your settings/ mods of course :Thedead:

As a player who isn't very good at the game, my strategy: run! (See my comment in the thread)

Did someone find out a good way to find a safe way to sleep?
I just lost my last run by sleeping, and then getting eating by zombies...

The best strategy is using a sledgehammer, destroy the stairs from a house and try to live on a second floor rather on the first floor, making zombies not able to reach you, while the problem also happens is by going down when you do this as they may gather up on 1 location, try to build away from your base location just in the sky, and make escape routes to lower yourself down and up with sheet ropes.

You'll at least have a sleeping location now by doing this, rather than running the whole game and fighting non stop as you can avoid it.
As soon as you get a car, your new life will just be driving into less popupated areas and then driving out of them once they are no longer safe.
