Faelandaea's Trailer Pack

A New Decision
After today's fiasco, I have made the decision to stick to a maximum of 6 trailers in any pack. This pack has 2 dry vans and 2 reefers. The size of the mod, though, is growing quite fast, but the main reason I am posting what I am about to post is that blood sucking Steam Up-loader tool. I went to upload the Hyundai and it smacked me down giving me a list of tons of issues it had with automat files. This is quite the common occurrence, as even though I have included ONLY the automat files needed in the mod, the up-loader seems content on making me import and export EVERY model in the entire pack every time I do an update. Today that process took me 3 hours to do, and I wasn't even editing.

So, to keep file sizes down and to also make this painful upload process easier, I think I am going to limit the number of trailers in a pack, and make future trailers in another pack. This pack has Utility, Great Dane and Hyundai. If I do the Hyunday Thermotech and Great Dane Champion, they will be here to keep brands together.

So, my next pack, which will also be here on Steam, will cover Vanguard, Wabash and Stoughton. As such, the total list of trailers should be as follows:

Pack 1:
  • Utility 3000R
  • Utility 4000D-X
  • Great Dane Everest
  • Great Dane Champion
  • Hyundai Composite®
  • Hyundai Thermotech®

Pack 2:
  • Vanguard Reefer
  • Vanguard VIP 4000/MaxCube/VXP
  • Stoughton PureBlue
  • Stoughton Tough Plate/Z Plate/Extra Wide/AV
  • Wabash Acutherm
  • Wabash DuraPlate®

If I put all of these into one mod it'd be well over a gig, which would be crazy for folks to download every time I have an update for it. Let me know what you guys think.

Honestly what I think would be easier is to split the packs via branding. So a Utility pack, Great Dane, etc... It's less trailers in the mods, it would be easier to write definition files via branding when you add another one, and so on.

That's just my line of thinking though. Yeah it's a couple more mods on steam, but I think it'd be easier to maintain that way. I already have one mod that actually tops around 3 GB as it is, so large files don't bother me. But I know others out there don't have good internet. (Even in the US..)
