Faelandaea's Trailer Pack
Faelandaea  [developer] 22 May, 2023 @ 7:23pm
Update: May 22 Discussion
This update should be pretty much universal, BUT I did delete the default reefers from the pack. I just don't think they were needed considering the actual detailed TK and Carrier units in the pack. I could not replicate any crashes or issues, BUT if for some reason your save game crashes as a result of you having a default reefer on your setup, let me know and I'll try to find a way to re-pack them.

======
FIXED:
======
Descriptions in Store interface for titles of some configurations and accessories.

======
ADDED:
======
Tandem options for front and rear slides.

Options for front corner labeling and branding.

Full paintable barrier door. Now you can skin over the supports like some carriers do in real life.

Changed fuel tank to the AR8550 Reefer Tank

Holes in sideskirt to match the AR8550.

Decal option for the chrome barrier door. This will allow you to add decals with alpha channel to the doors over the chrome.

Rub Rails - Two Sets. One single bottom set and one full set (bottom and top)

========
REMOVED:
========
3000R Decal from front corners. It can be re-added with the new corner options.

Default SCS reefer units. The Carrier reefer started throwing errors, so I just removed it and the king. I just do not see the need for them with such high quality units already included.

=============
SPECIAL NOTE:
=============
The main purpose of this pack is to recreate actual trailers I have pulled in real life. These trailers are my priority. Once I have these done, I will then move on to trailers I have access to for modeling and reference. That said ...

YES, I have received and acknowledge requests for all chrome walls, etc. I will eventually get to this but it is very low on the priority list because I am focusing on more practical features and options right now that carriers use in real life. Chrome is great for show, but the purpose of this trailer is to give a realistic unit to pull which is focused on actual field use and not sitting at a truck show somewhere. This does NOT mean I will not add it. It simply means I plan to get everything else on my list done first.

Thanks for understanding. In the meantime, if chrome is that important to you, there are a HUGE amount of chromed trailers of all brands already available out there which are great quality and highly recommended. I recommend those until I get to that part of this project.

Oh nice, a fully painted door will be nice with a couple skins I have. lol

I tend to use a big image for the doors rather than sizing them down or something.

I look forward to playing around a bit more with these trailers though. XD

Thanks. I also just did a hotfix for shiny sideskirts. For some odd reason all of a sudden anything with a bump (tsnmap, or normal map as some folks call them) appears really shiny in the game. Have no idea wtf is causing that, but it is fixed. i just removed the normal map from that sideskirts and it fixed the issue.

Hey, hi!!!

Nice updates, specially the front position tandem. It's easier to maneuver the trailer now.

I sent to you a DM, seems to be a glitch in the template, specially with the left sideskirt. What ever skin you choose, the image just breaks in very strange way. Could you please check that accesory , please?

Regards!!!

Don't worry, I already told Fae about this when I was with him in voice on Discord. I even showed him an image.

I'm betting what happened was Chief added holes for the sideskirt of the 3000R (this is where the problem is, the 4000D-X is fine), it changed the UV mapping and it caused it to skew off in a weird way. I asked him if something changed in the UV map, and well... that was the explanation I got.

To be fair, he usually doesn't expect people to paint certain things on trailers, and that's what he said to me, but he was also working on something else while I was in voice with him, so I said it's not a huge deal and he can get an update when he can.

Oh, for the sake of things, I'll go ahead and note that the left sideskirt is by far the most skewed off, but the right side is also skewed a tiny bit, but it's not nearly as bad.
