Okay, so, update on progress here, folks. I am certain many of you have noticed a considerable slow-down in updates/releases over October/November. The trucking company I was working for had me so busy that all I wanted to do when I came home for home-time was veg out and watch anime. I couldn't even bring myself to play the games I love to play. That's how burned out I was. Add to that I am still full time college online as well, so I also had to spend a lot of my free time studying and doing class work.

Well, good news, I think (I hope), is that I just switched to a company that will have me home a MINIMUM of 2 full days a week, and I start driving for them this week. This is absolutely great because not only can I have more time to focus on class studies, but I can also start modding again AND have time for myself on the side. So over the next few months expect to see more accessory upgrades, including the much requested return of custom lights, custom license plates, DEFAULT license plates, and more.

I appreciate everyone's patience with this. Modding is a hobby for me and is NOT a way of making income or anything more than that. Add to that I just got engaged (wedding is summer 2024!!!) so life priorities are key for me right now. But I DO give you guys my promise to keep these trailers alive and, as time DOES permit, I will keep at it until the accessories are where I want them to be.

I have also been asked a few times about permissions for folks to release their own stuff for these trailers. YES! Of COURSE!!!!! This is a community after all, and I refuse to be one of those toxic nuts that freaks out because someone wanted to add to a project I am working on. I not only give permission, but highly ENCOURAGE whatever you guys want to do. Skin packs, accessory packs ... as long as folks have the official steam link back here for the base trailers and not a third party site, I am cool with whatever add-ons you make for this pack. No permission is needed from me (but DO let me know so I can install them myself and show off your work on my stream!!!!)

Okay, so for a few other requests ... double/triple configurations keep coming up. I DO plan to do doubles. No ETA again, but I do plan to do them. It's not as simple as adding a dolly and DEF file and calling it a day. In order to do these right I have to make custom bumpers for each trailer brand. So that will take time, but it IS in the pipeline. I plan to finish the base accessories first, then finish off the pack with the double configurations. Since these are 53 foot trailers, though, no triples will be coming by my hand. I have personally never even seen a triple 53 foot in the USA and doubt I ever will, so I do not see the realism of putting such a configuration on this pack. If someone else wants to do a mod for it for Australian road trains, etc., after I get the doubles out, then cool, but I just can't see me coding something that crazy.

Also, I have had folks ask me about "competition" with paid versions of some of these trailers. I am aware that pay-ware mod authors have similar trailers out. No, I am NOT going to even TRY to be as good as those guys. They do this stuff for a living. Let them. In fact I have even purchased and own some of those packs and love them very much. No, I do NOT take my work from them, but they DO inspire me. The purpose of this pack is to give an options for folks who either want to expand their fleet options, or simply cannot afford to buy paid mods. Also, if my model happens to be almost the same model as one of those other mods, that is just coincidence. I get all of my base trailers from Turbosquid, Hum3D, and a few other source sites. I have dumped a LOT of money into these models for you guys, but they are legit and I can always prove it. Again, I do not believe in mod authors stealing from each other, and will never do so myself. And, again, I encourage, when possible, trying EVERYTHING out there, paid or otherwise, to see what works best for you and to support the talented artists that make truck simulator as diverse as it is today.

Regarding custom lights, they ARE coming back, but only after I have a chance to model my own. I do NOT want my mod depending on other mods to function. I want it to be completely standalone so that if someone else decides to take their stuff down (such as the Boreman lights) then it will not screw with this pack.

Trying to think here ... doubles, license plates, custom lights ... those seem to be the big three requests for now so status update complete. Take care, everyone, and see you down the road.
