ALiVE compatibility
As requested by the mod maker, this is a discussion to help get ALiVE compatibility implemented.

My understanding of ALiVE is that, as it just places object classes and then structures the ALiVE feedback (defusing tying into civilian reputation, civilians/combatants avoiding IEDs they know about etc.) around that. With this in mind, you'd most likely need to generate IED object classes for ALiVE to be able to place dynamically, which then gain the Advanced IED System mechanics within the scenario (post-init). I'll link the ALiVE wiki page regarding this stuff below:

If there are any questions please hit me back as I'm super keen on this mod's system and would love to see it come across to one of the more capable mission frameworks.

Thankyou for this Fuzzle! Because of the system that this mod uses, the explosives arent actually tied to an object, so defining the ammo classnames will result in invisible IED's. I think the best way to integrate it to be used with ALIVE, is by using one of the options talked about in the comments with Knightin. Likely just attaching the defuse system to ALL mines while the mine itself keeps its base functions. While this does't get to leverage the other systems built within this mod (such as the custom detection scripts, and proximity detector) It does allow for a seamless inclusion. I'll continue to look into it, but compatibility at at least a basic level seems likely! I will update here as I progress

Sounds great! Given the way that works, would an ACE/basegame mine detector be able to detect your IEDs when set up the way you've detailed? Additionally, does defusing it this way act as a regular defuse would (mostly thinking for it tying back into ALiVE's civ rep system)?

Yes ace/basegame mines could detect it if they could originally. I don't believe that mine are defused in the same way as vanilla, I'll look into that as well to see if that's something I can change, or adjust for an ALIVE setting!
