Planet side spawns disappearing.
I'm having an issue with the MES spawns on the planets. I'm currently on Triton testing this and as I drive around I see markers pop up and vanish almost instantly (1-2 seconds at best). I check the entity list and there's nothing there but my rover. So far I've only seen a pair of Klang trucks and a rover frame that have managed to stay spawned. At this point the unknown signals would be the only source of materials. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm also seeing this in a new start of the scenario (on earthlike, no additional mods) today ~ 50% of the spawns disappear within 1-2 seconds and can't be found in the entity list.

Not entirely sure, but it seems to be nearby spawns that are affected - I'm mostly seeing things appear and hang around at 3+km distance. Closer things (I think those spawning small grids particularly) have spawned, but then been deleted.

It's quite random, there have been times where i start up and i get a single good spawn and everything else disappears and other times i start up and everything spawns and the signals don't go away. The only thing i can nail down is that the clang trucks with the 02/h2 gens seem to be unaffected, as they are the only ones i see consistently stay around.

Same thing happened for me. I started a new game and almost everything would disappear seconds after spawning.

Make sure you have the mod Scrapyard MES Settings installed

i'm having this issue as well. new game and running game.
When restarting my server, it works for a few hours, after that this issue starts occuring. either no spawns at all or instant deletes... quite odd.

This fixed the problem for me.

I tried this and no change at all, they still vanish almost instantly.

That's by design, they have antennas that are blinked on and off using timer blocks. Just head in the direction of the ping once it appears, there is probably something there.

What you are describing here yes. but going there and finding nothing is not. And since i've found plenty of wrecks with my friends, we know whats normal and what is not. currently there is a ping if at all, it stays a split second (instead of like 10 compared to normal) and its gone. there's nothing there. Not even when spawning in with the command and going there at admin speed. i've once caught the entire thing literally despawning.

After some testing and looking through the MES config, I think what is happening is that there is a single SpawnGroup, (NPC-SY) Cluster Core, which spawns in a "dummy" grid (I presume this has the beacon that you see on your HUD), the MES behaviour for this then:

1) spawns in the actual encounter (via a trigger)
2) deletes its own grid - (leaving the encounter) - this triggers when the player is within 2.8 km.

The MES config minimum spawn distance for installations is 2.5km, presumably from the MES settings mod that comes with this scenario). The problem seems to be occuring for me for grids that spawn between 2.5km and 2.8km. They appear on the HUD, but, I suspect, are deleted before they trigger the spawn of the actual encounter grid(s).

Solution for me was to set the minimum spawn distance for planetary installations to 2850 in the saved game folder (look for Storage\1521905890.sbm_ModularEncountersSystems\Config-PlanetaryInstallations.xml file and then look for the <MinimumSpawnDistanceFromPlayers> tag in this file).

Following this, a large number of subsequent MES spawns from the console worked ok - everything spawned at least 2.85km away and nothing vanished after spawning. 1 or 2 did fail to spawn completely, possibly due to MES not finding a suitable location for them.

I just gave that a try, changed the value to 2850 reopened the last save. 2 minutes of driving around and i see the first flash of red.... that only lasted .53 seconds (+/- .07 for reaction time.) and still nothing in the entity list except my rover and an unknown signal.

@mounf tried that, doesn't work for me.... the only thing that seems to temporarily work, is removing or adding the spawn settings mod.

It almost seems like the ground spawns are trying to do what the space spawns do, give an intermittend pulse of where they are. But horribly failing at it..

So far, i can confirm setting it at 3000m or higher results in having spawns again that stay. To be sure i've set mine to 3500m, just incase there is an LAG issue. They do seem to be a little less frequent tho, and they seem to use the new blip mechanic, like in space?

I've just got back to SE and found 2850 is indeed inconsistant - some spawns (usually ones I'm moving towards) still vanish - I've increased to 3000 which is better - but still not perfect.

Had something similar to this, then I remembered the mod asked that trash removal be turned off which fixed it for me. So check to see if trash removal is on via admin menu and turn it off to see if that fixes things.
