Planned Additions
The base-game mechanics are implemented, meaning that what's left to add in are extra SCPs and the Sarkics.

Planned SCPs

A rough list of planned SCPs to be added as an unlockable power. This list is up to being changed as development continues.

  • SCP-271 (Inscribed Disc): whenever your agent kills someone with this in their inventory, the victim will drop a cache of components. The higher level they are, the more likely they drop mechanisms. Killing the Chosen One can give you a Relic (or multiple Relics if they are high enough level).
  • SCP-2105 (Programmable Occult): Allows your agent to immediately gain Level 3 Mastery of a school of magic. This mastery will be removed once your agent casts a spell. Has a set amount of uses.
  • SCP-116-KO (House Drive): generate a fully infiltrated base-game subsettlement in a settlement, giving you access to whatever challenges that subsettlement will give. Has a set number of uses.
  • SCP-1037 (Rotbolt): Terraforms land into metal and drops habitability to 0. Feed components or power to make it grow.

Sarkics and the War of Flesh

Rough outline of the plan for how the Sarkics will work

  • Sarkics are going to be an optionable "challenge-mode" for MEKHANE. An event will pop up in the beginning that will let the player choose whether or not they'll spawn or not.
  • Sarkics will start similar to Fallen Empires in Stellaris: keeping to themselves. They will awaken mid-game by spawning in a Karcist.
  • The Karcist will move to non-enshadowed locations and spread Sarkic Influence, which they can then use to recruit more Sarkics and give rulers and heroes a preference for Sarkicism
  • The Karcist can convince the Alliance or the Chosen One to ally with the Sarkics, essentially strengthening heroes in a manner similar to the Unified Faith
  • Sarkics can take over the Alliance or a kingdom and form a Sarkic Empire in direct response to the player forming the Dark Empire or Mekhanite Empire
  • The Sarkics will build up a military of Flesh Beasts with the intention of declaring a crusade on whatever kingdoms have Congregations within them
  • Make it so that Colossi are direct counters to Flesh Beast armies
  • A Karcist can upgrade themselves to a Grand Karcist, who can then summon the "Red Death" (SCP-610) to destroy the Mekhanites
  • Make it so that the Clockwork Virus is a direct counter to the Red Death
  • Killing the Grand Karcist will send the Sarkics into disarray, temporarily disrupting them until they reorganize

Sarkics feel pretty similar to a rival elder in concept, differing in missing a power pool/ powers to spend it on and being friendly to the heroes. It seems possible in theory to mod in such a being to oppose a player for other elders too.
