This mod is perfect for my friends and I, so I wanted to ask: what about the mod is making MP untenable right now?

I ask because I had my buddy hop on last night and see if we could set up a server with this. We didn't play long - just a few months, since it was late - but it made me wonder exactly why it apparently doesn't work.

Is it related to the new political system? If so, I was thinking of suggesting a downscaled version of the mod for multiplayer compability, if this issue can't be fixed.
