For what it's worth I agree people should have an option even if it's just a console command they have to manually input themselves to disable this. However this will simply never happen and here's why.

1. You the average player are to blame for funding an indifferent corporation. Your fancy hats are the reason these kinds of bureaucrat level issues exist in the first place. If anyone should get their teeth knocked out it is you.
2. Although someone already made this point, let me re-word this. If you grant the user control over seeing paid content regardless if it's decals, hats, name and description tags, what's the point in buying them in the first place? It's the same for advertising. If I pay to get my car repair shop advertised, but everyone is using an adblock why the ♥♥♥♥ would I keep funding the advertisement? You may not like it, but that's how the $ makes the world go round.
3. People's life revolves around their pixels. If you grand the end user control over said pixels their life becomes meaningless. Thus Valve's cash cow gets heavily dented.
4. From point 3 if Valve allowed any form of content control like this, people can get very angry for paying money for features like this for then the average user to simply turn it off as they please.

In conclusion. Anybody who thinks, this is an issue, it's actually a you issue. Valve doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about you or your opinion. Nor the safety of them kids n' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And you can cry harder you delusional ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And encase you disagree and think your take is valid. Yes, I said it. Then they would have added this type of thing even if it's to protect kids a long time ago. But, they haven't and they don't give a ♥♥♥♥. Just saying.

Side note, this game is a literal magnet for degenerate groups which besides being mentally ill are usually very sexual and or are pedophiles. If this is an issue for them don't allow your own kids or your younger siblings to play this game or just let them play in training maps, local server mvm or play with them together in an in-game LAN server. Otherwise stfu if you won't go after the core issue being (((protected))) groups.

Mabe custon decals should be merged with spray option button, it all player-chosen images
