Make the revolver +P+ round more expensive. It's more powerful than the normal round, despite it being less expensive

Recipes:
2x magnesium, lead, copper (+P+ Round)
2x magnesium, 2x lead, copper (Revolver Round) + TALENT

I know you don't like overriding things, but perhaps you should make the +P+ round a captain talent and make it more expensive to craft. The normal round craftable by everyone

Are Specialty rounds for shotguns possible? Something like Dragon's Breath for Burn affliction or HE rounds for destruction or armor breaking? Might need stable explosives for crafting HE's or something similar on top of a talent need to keep it balanced. (I'm a shotgun kind of guy so I have a heavy appreciation for this kind of stuff.)

Yeah 100%, I might consider Dragon's Breath especially in the future. There's explosive slugs right now in Vanilla as is, though

I was literally looking at the slugs when I was saw the reply. I'm sorry about that goof.

That wouldn't make sense unless firearms had durability. Something like the flintlocks or Blunderbuss backfiring on you would make more sense then +P+ rounds blowing up on you. Plus the risk when using automatics would make them too much of a liability to me.

Blunderbuss/flintlocks will actually currently blow up in your hands on rare occasions, depending on the powder you use. Phosphorus is the safest to use given this.

Assuming phosphorus, flash powder, and magnesium all have the same number of blunderbuss shots available to them (I believe they can offer 10 shots each before being consumed), and that phosphorus is the cheapest and safest one to use, maybe give magnesium and flash powder more shots and phosphorus less to incentivize not only using phosphorus. Otherwise, who’s going to bother with either of the other options? One is magnesium, the other uses magnesium in its recipe, and magnesium is important for all the other ammunition types, plus the danger of an explosion is just another risk I wouldn’t bother taking without an incentive.
I’m thinking Phosphorus gets 5 shots, Magnesium gets 10, and Flash Powder gets 15. That’s a rough estimate though, might not be the best balance but it’s intervals of 5 so my brain feels good.
