Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is the map data saved?
A: garrysmod/data/mmm/maps/<name_of_map>.txt

Q: How do I delete things from the map?
A: Open the menu, then right click and click "Auto-Delete", then click "Save". Don't actually delete it before saving your progress as that isn't supported (yet).

Q: My entities aren't deleting. Why not?
A: Make sure "Editor Mode" is toggled off or else they won't be. That's on purpose so that you can undo any Auto-Deletions.

Q: Can this delete invisible walls from maps?
A: To my understanding you cannot, unless it is an entity you can click on, which is rare. You can however edit the map yourself by decompiling it.

Q: Who can use this addon on my server?
A: SuperAdmins only. If you can script and wish to support your admin addon then use the hook "MMM_UserAuthorized(ply)" in the shared realm.

Q: Can this remove static map props?
A: No, only non-static entities. It may be possible with another tool.

Just added the feature. You open the UI and select the "Entity Spawner" tool and press R.

There is a 'screen panning' option that lets you look around.

Thank you, but i have one more question. How can i change the sounds of the doors that this tool spawns? I tried looking in Set Values but i don't understand these

As there is currently no help text for keyvalues with this tool, you can take a look at this link:

I'll add those values to the whitelist.

Is there a way to make an effect with animated idles permanent? For an example i'm wanting an effect from Valkyries Halo Ship Prop Pack that has moving ships in the effects animation list, But if i try to permanently save it the animations don't start. Can MMM do that or is that not possible?

It should be possible. Added support for it and also fixed a bug where spawned effect props loaded as watermelons.
can you move the "Default Weapon" option at the top of the list for NPC editor? or make it as a default instead?
