Longlasting save with a tons of map mods?
I never added map mods to my single player game because I fear the game will increasingly lag the more time the game pass. This is based on my experience in multiplayer server with a lot of mods, eventually after two irl months of running they have to reset the server because everyone getting lag.

What of the experiences in single player? Does map mods a risk to use if someone aim to play hundreds of hours in a single save file?

Coming from personal experience, map mods don't slow my game down nearly as much as mods do. With just map mods, I have a really quick load time and little lag. When I start adding in mods however, that's when things start to slow down, but I have hundreds.

As with any mod, there is the risk of bugs or it breaking saves. That is just the nature of it. For this collection I've chosen seemingly more reliable mods based on their ratings, comments and personal testing. It's just a risk you take when playing a modded game at the end of the day. From personal experience, I haven't had map mods break a save and I'm about 800 hours in (95% of that is heavily modded playtime).
