what are zdoors supposed to be exactly?
would it be a background room kind of thing? like a layered room?

Yes they are supposed to make you feel as if you can enter doors in the background. In reality they teleport you to an enclosed room that is placed somewhere nearby.

Oh so sadly it wouldnt be usable in submarines? I mean unless I actually make a seperate room but my sub isnt big enough for that

No this mod includes 2 modules that only spawn if playing with DE, but DE itself doesn't have it. Barotrauma Die Hard has it.

Yes you'd need a separate room somewhere unless you want to use the doors as shortcuts between existing rooms.

You connect them via wires. Just don't forget to make the wires invisible or hidden in game.

same here, zdoors just teleport me inside the door as if it was a bed, I wired the input and output of the two zdoors, but sames no use.(with lua)

I'll have to get someone with lua skills to take a look at it. The last person helping with lua code has disappeared for some time and I can't figure out what exactly the issue is with the code.

zDoor fix is uploaded within new update, they should work for you. I tested them in sub editor and they worked.
