I started a Spearmaster playthrough with this mod yesterday and it worked phenomenally, but I think the "Randomize Once per Playthrough" button is a bit buggy. It took me two resets to get it to work properly. I started a Survivor playthrough today and it won't work at all. The settings I used were "Minimal" and "100% rooms randoed" if it helps at all.
It seems that the randomization is defaulting to "Every Successful Cycle + Death" for me. I don't understand why it is doing this. I tried both "Once Per Playthrough" and "Every Successful Cycle." Neither of them are working anymore.
Oh, that makes sense. I was able to continue the Spearmaster playthrough because I got a lucky den on the first cycle.
I've found two other bugs in the mod. I'm not sure if they're on your radar or not.
The first one is that the shelters in rooms with gates still have the shelter icon even if they aren't shelters due to the randomizer.
The second has to do with soft-locks in Outskirts due to the danglefruit and batfly tutorial rooms. I started a run in "Minimal Logic" and it was immediately ended due to the batfly room. I'm not sure if this is classified as a bug since it is using minimal logic, but it happened nonetheless.
(Edit: I got it partially working, I'll see if I can get it fully fixed up for the next update.)
As for danglefruit/batfly room, I wasn't aware of any softlocks, but I'll do some further testing. Worst case, I might tell it not to randomize the monk/surv tutorial rooms if they cause such an issue.
With Minimal Logic, running into dead ends is to be expected, but crashes and softlocks are something I'd like to fix! I already have a small handful of rooms that are never randomized because it'd cause issues and I don't mind adding to the list for a better experience, even if it's a little less random as a result. Thanks for letting me know about those as well!
I'm assuming this might be typical for the mod bc of how complex it is but some part of the description tells me it probably shouldn't be messed up like that.
(so far I've just been making my own map of the region by sketching it out, which is honestly kind of fun)
Also, room rando isn't updated for the latest version so I don't really recommend using it at the moment (the more complex options are most likely bugged) but I'll update it once I fully finish playing the new DLC ^^
