i found a couple out of place boxes under a green light, i tried the code there but it did nothing. either i put the code in wrong, or it isn't meant to do anything.

Yeah, also in the creepy house, the basement door has 247 over it, and in the basement there is a x on one of the walls.

247 doesn't seem to have any meaning in the context of this map, it's a decal from Black Mesa where it instructs you on the order of teleporters you need to go through in the Black Mesa chapter Lambda Complex
