extremis does that thing alot of new hoi4 mods do nowndays where the beginning game has a ♥♥♥♥ ton of of events, lore, lots of reading lots of narrative. then when the wars actually start it goes into a total 95% decline in that narrative heavy content.

like ive done lion and 1984 man. beginning of the game and the first few focuses of their respective trees alot of content. however once u hit the civil war proper events completely die out. For the lion exspecially narrativly it ends once the civil war proper starts with basically little flavor events whilst haddock once u complete the civil war you do unlock the culture tree and that does have some events however by that point you'll have most likely taken over the entire united states so the 49 wait timers is just cruel.

i do understand however that this is demo content and for demo content what extremis does have is extremely good i can only hope that as further development occurs the devs push out more events/narrative during that middle/end game.

overall for now i'd give it a 7/10 great start, lots of narrative makes you really feel that horror but sadly that narrative dies out during mid/endgame and it becomes very much vanilla hoi4 where u wait 30 days for a plus green. if the devs expand on the narrative content so that it expands to the whole experience in future iterations easily jumps up to a 9 or 10.
