Gonna be doing a thread for each update from now on, helps me ensure I addressed everything before moving on.

If reporting a bug, please try to provide any and all relevant details about the issues or error you encountered, otherwise its hard for me to help.

Changes Confirmed for Beta 6
  • Clothing pocket system!
    • The players small pockets are now determined by their clothing.
  • Soft containers are now "squishable", shrinking in size when empty.
  • Event system for injecting additional render logic on grid items
  • Fixed inability to place generators in containers (trunks)
  • Fixed various bugs around container windows
  • Improved compatibility with build mods (i.e Disassemble Container With Items)
  • Fixed some bugs around player death/respawning
  • Increased the search session memory limit. (Fixes infinite search bug with community data packs)

BETA 5 is a big update!
It should cleanup almost all of the annoying issues with actions being blocked by lack of grid space.

character doesn't have organized
but it might be a mod conflict not entirely sure
(when mousing over the white square inside the box grid.)

Thats the container's trait.
Certain containers are considered organized and always give the organized benefit when moving items into them, unless the character is disorganized.

Not sure if it is an issue on my end, but I did not have it before Beta 5. Now I cannot open any containers within containers. E.x I cannot open the garbage bag inside one of my crates. Same applies to all containers in any kind of storage units etc. This was changed on purpose or just a bug?

This was done intentionally to fix some item duplications in MP.
I'm not opposed to re-enabling it in SP, I just want to see if I can fix it properly instead, before I start adding different behaviour for SP vs MP.
So, if things work out, it will only be a temporary restriction.

Ok so i played with your mod for a while i can say about 24h, and i did make a modpack with it wich included VFE with addons for STALKER, MRP, vehicle salvage sponge clothing and addons and more wich didn't mess with the inventory UI and the only annoying thing i had wich made me remove your mod from our server was when we had a book in our inventory and press R it was getting the book in your hands and starting to read it, even if it was in another inventory like the truck or crate if you were near it, it was happening again. I hope this was not from your mod but if it was looking forward for it to get fixed and also more ways to upgrade backpacks and get more grids.!

EDIT: i found a mod that is incompatible with this mod, i found the problem ( Reading is not boring anymore & Read while walking )

Im not sure if im the only one experiencing this or if this is intentional or not but since the update all the gun mags and clips form Brittas Weapon Mod no longer stack and just clutter the inventory really hard due to then being no longer stackable.
Is this supposed to be like this?

Inventory Tetris update dated 06/20/23 Bags in a container do not open a bag in a bag, a backpack in a backpack does not open. And so the fire mod, plunged into the game again. thanks to the author.
Maybe leave a checkmark in the settings, put it. Example. Advanced inventory management.
I liked update the previous one. With the present, all meaning is lost.

icons of items from other mods, such as Brita armor, hurt my eyes. any way to fix this?

Nope. Currently an engine limitation.
The other mods could fix their own icons by packing the textures, which would cause them to scale in a less blurry manner.
