A new mod just came out and it optimizes textures without loosing quality. I haven't tried it out yet but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hey I just tested it out and everything runs fine. I ran into no problems and no glitches. Fps was increased by a TON for me. I hope this will be helpful if you ever decide to suggest using this mod to people if they have performance problems :D
