I've been getting this kind of an error.

Situation - I'm shooting the minigun in the precursor mission (From FU) and killing the boss. I have 1 NPC crew mate with me (using crewcustomz mod(can't remember if that's the exact name..) which lets me customize the NPC loadouts) and the NPC is also using the minigun.

it randomly crashes. I'm able to use the minigun for quite the while and so is the NPC without crashing though.

hmm, not sure why it is saying it cannot be a file, maybe it's the capital M? But if it was that, then it would crash immediately...

I can't find the U.S.C.M workbench in the game and when I access the bench it doesn't work at all. How do I fix it?

I've played now for a couple of days (completely forgot about this) and haven't gotten the bug. it only occurred when i had given my NPC the minigun. Right now i don't think i have a log about the bug but i can try to have it happen again.

i have not been able to replicate the issue strangely. When i wrote the message before i got the error 3-4 times in a very short amount of time before pretty much giving up.

Finally i managed to get the error to happen again. I've got the log, screen shot of the game and a video recording of the events which lead to the point of crashing.

not sure if you can link it here as I don't really have a discord server of my own, but if not I do know that another person has reported a different issue that involves frackin universe which leads me to believe that frackin and my mod do not play nicely together for some reason (which is really weird because my weapons derive off of vanilla code with a few sprinkles of basic lua here and there.)

It would seem that i'm unable to send the log.. I can copy a piece of the Log which shows the point when the error happens

I was doing the Ruin mission and there were some monster spawns, but i don't think that should be the problem... wouldn't make much sense, right?

looks like something in regards to the npc is breaking when holding one of my weapons. If I had to take a guess, considering Frackin' changes npcs and also the fact that crew customization+ works fine with the minigun on vanilla, (I tested this) I think this may be a Frackin issue, which surprisingly enough isn't the first frackin issue discovered with my mod...

Strange. Also, i've used other weaponry of your mod for a few hours of gameplay and those have not caused any issues. Bullpup, Assault rifle, Auto shotgun, Pistols with also different elemental effects. The NPC's seem to be able to use those.. but maybe once i continue my world i'll do another bossfight (As it would appear that the bug happens during boss fights.. now that i think about it, it only happened during boss fights.)

I have noticed that with the colony deed, all the Marines that spawn are all Male, and if you knock the deed off the wall the colonist does the teleport animation, but does not leave the area. I now have 15 Marines in a room where I should only have 1

are you using my improved guard behavior mod? (if so I would uninstall it) if not, I'm going to see if I can replicate the issue
