When I press the ragdoll button (g) I spectate a player?

Whenever I press G to ragdoll, I end up looking through the POV of my my friend. It continues to even if I rebind the ragdoll button. I should mention it is the same person I "spectate" every time. This only happens on occasion, and seems to be on/off.
