The History of Eastern Pacific Railroad
Eastern Pacific (marking EP) is a fictional railroad company class I, completed in 1875 the route stretched from Nevada, Wyoming, California, Utah, West Virginia, and Oregon.
later in 1989 Eastern Pacific acquired the California & Northwestern Railway (marking C&NW) to expand their system. in 1996 after agreement with ICC, Eastern Pacific would finally merged with the Trainmaster Railroad (marking TMRX, jeranios63's Railroad.) to form Trainmaster Eastern Pacific or TMEP for short, Eastern Pacific is one of the most famous and cared about railroad in AU Universe. Eastern Pacific is still around today, as its under the TMEP Railroad

jeranios63's Railroad in EP's Universe as he would love to be apart of it.
California & Northwestern Railway is also my fictional company and also apart of EP's Universe.

Establishment Date: Feb 21st, 1875.
Fully Dieselize Date: Nov 19th, 1959.
Merge Date: Jun 18th, 1996.

Did Union Pacific buy Western Pacific in your universe?
CBug519  [developer] 2 Jul, 2023 @ 3:25pm
no, Union Pacific would merge with New York Central to create Union Central in 1979.
Interesting. Also are there any other railroads that don't exist in the EP universe? (I try to keep timelines of my fics in line with most others, so I don't end up creating a pack or layout that messes up someone else's timeline)

the only railroads that aren't exist in EP's Universe is Burlington Northern, Chicago & Northwestern, Canadian National, CSX, and Norfolk & Western

Actually.... Does EP have any trackage in north-central Indiana? I might be able to have an interchange with it.

Eastern Pacific did have trackage in north central indiana (from their long distance train called The Moonset Limited.) until EP was purchased by The Northern Pacific Railroad, one steam locomotive did visit there as SS-3 no. 3338 travel there to be in display at World Fair 98.

Alright, I plan to backdate one of my layouts set in that area of Indiana to the steam era at some point, maybe I'll have an interchange with it there. (I'll say that it'll be a while before that happens, I need to finish it in the modern times first)

alright then.
CBug519  [developer] 3 Jul, 2023 @ 1:44pm
not only that Eastern Pacific was acquired by the Northern Pacific, NP also acquired other railroads then only just EP, WP acquired 5 other railroads are Southwestern Pacific (also my fictional company), Atlantic, Portland, & Western (also my fictional company), California & Northwestern Railway (originally acquired by EP until EP was acquired by NP in 1996), Californian Pacific (also my fictional company), and Central & Northern Railway (also my fictional company), if you have any questions about those railroads, feel free to ask.

What happened to the PRR in this universe if they didn’t merge with the NYC to form PC?
CBug519  [developer] 3 Jul, 2023 @ 7:14pm
PRR was purchased by the California & Northwestern Railway in 1886

But didn't New York Central Merge with the PRR to make PENN Central?
