Is Bowser supposed to have any starting bias towards volcanoes/geothermal fissures?
Not sure if it's intentional or a bug but right now he seems to spawn everywhere except those locations. Though he always spawns near Iron like Age of Steam Victoria which I also don't know if it's intentional or not.

Yes, Bowser has a high bias on starting near volcano/geothermal fissures and a medium bias on starting near iron (because the terrasforming project used to need iron). Obviously thats just a bias so its not garranteed to start near one depending on the map generation. From experience I always seem to have started at about 3 tiles away from a volcano when I start a game with Bowser.

Maybe I just got a huge streak of bad luck then. But if the terraforming project doesn't need iron anymore there's no need for that to be a starting bias as well, right?

Also I noticed the same animation error on Peach that the other guy mentioned, when looking at her on the diplomatic screen to view leader abilities she will bug out for a few frames, after an animation loop I think.

Not sure if this is a bug or just a strange interaction. Whenever Bowser's Airship is the active unit, the Settler's lens activates (at least I think it is the Settler one.... Lots of red on the screen). Goes away when it is no longer active. Just FYI

That one's supposed to happen. Bowser's airships can settle cities. There's an in-game setting to turn auto-lenses off if that bothers you.

having a slight issue where a giant beanstalk garden appears not to be working. most of them do (and beautifully at that), but I have one that I purchased the turn before an era ended that neither affects its surrounding tiles nor grew visually to indicate that it was supposed to affect more; it just looks inert. I have a screenshot I can offer if it helps, but it's surrounded exclusively by unimproved charming/breathtaking tiles (and one mountain) and affecting none of them :(

something possibly abnormal about the scenario, in the interest of thoroughness, is that I purchased the beanstalk with gold while it was already in the process of being built, to get it done before the era changed. not sure if that could affect anything.
edit: looks like that's the issue, happens in another city as well.

Are there any known conflicts with the custom unit designs and other mods? All of my units are invisible.

Depends on what the other mods are. But it does look like the bug with civ that has a limit on the amount of custom assets it can load (custom unit/buildings/etc models) which also depends on the strength of your computer. If I were you I'd try to look for other mods that might have custom assets and try disabling them until you can eventually see the custom units.

I appreciate the reply. I've mostly got custom wonders and city asset tweaks, so it's most likely a limit on loaded assets.

I'll pare down my cosmetics and see what happens!

Fantastic mod! Only bugs I noticed sometimes is sometimes glitchy attack animations, for example when a Toad unit was being defeated by a barbarian the barbarian performed the defeat action but the Toad model was just standing on the hill, the barbarian started looping its defeat animation over and over, almost soft-locked the game until I opened the game menu which somehow broke the loop.

Also, Peach's model has a 1-2 frame glitch when her animation loop ends.

But I really enjoy this mod so much, it's incredibly well done and very seamless!

When Peach was defeated, there was no quote, it just said "...(Leader Defeated)"

I guess, unless "..." is the quote.

Yes "..." is indeed the quote, tbh it makes more sense if you have leader animations on.
