In a recent update, the distinction between small and large turrets was introduced, which led many to think that the EK heavy turrets could also be installed on large turret mounts. However, the firepower and range of the heavy turrets far exceed what the large turrets can handle, and the shape of the equipment also differs significantly. Therefore, it is not possible to mount a heavy turret on a large turret mount, as it would look very out of place.

The Heavy Autocannon and Heavy Railgun are "heavy turrets", not "large turrets", and thus require a Heavy Turret Hardpoint for installation.

If you wish to install a Heavy Turret, Spinal-Mount Turret, or Auxiliary Turret, you must install the corresponding turret hardpoints in the Submarine Editor: the Heavy Turret Hardpoint, Spinal Hardpoint, and Auxiliary Turret Hardpoint.

Alternatively, you can find a submarine mod that is already equipped with EK turrets.
