This is most likely because of a conflict with another mod.

Does the mod show up in the mod list or mod options in game?
Are you using any other mods that make changes to the UI?
Could you give me a full list of mods you are using, so I can reproduce the issue (you can exclude character mods, because they are likely not the problem)?

ok here:
More options
mod options menu (this obiously works)
custom characters loader (just incase)
multihustle
shaped hitboxes
yomi random
calitrop storm mode

those are all my mods

The issue is probably with multihustle, since that mod seems to be quite intrusive in changing how the game works. I'll confirm wether multihustle is the issue when I have some time.
I'll also add a short section about this conflict to the mod description.

I confirmed that MultiHustle is the cause of the issue. Unless there is a large demand for it, I won't change the mod to support MultiHustle, since it likely will be a large effort to implement and maintain.
