Green squares, broken slot frames
Not sure what's going on, but it's about what it says on the tin. I think it's a memory error. The issue doesn't manifest until opening the map on a first run, but immediately does after that. MapOptions may be causing the problem.

I don't think it's MapOptions; I have the mod, and the green squares / broken slot frames hasn't happened for me. Do you have any mods that add new items? Do you have the remix menu option for key items enabled?

The remix menu key items option is enabled, and I have a lot of mods, but I don't think I have any that add new items? I wish Rain World had a debug log.

Try disabling the key items option and see if that works.

Nope, no dice. Not sure why that would work, either. After starting a new game, opening the map at all breaks the frames. No key items in sight or anything.

I think I fixed it. The issue seems to be load order.

I've had this issue too; For me, a mod called Passage Tracker seems to be causing the issue [as it only occurs when the mod is on].
