@DrearyMussell5 Hey brotha any chance we could get a combat roll feature as all the marines have one and after finishing this the first time adding some skulls like larger explosions we need some way to roll away and look cool doing so. Also this could be for this version but could we get some audio logs after getting kills like the marines? Or when you get friendly fired we could say the "Hey Watch it!" and going along the audio we could get the animation when you are at 1 hp we do the last stand emote "You're all gonna DIE!" These would make being a infantry marine that much cooler.

I think it'd be amazing if the cutscenes would be edited to not always feature the Orion cyborg in levels where you don't play as one. (this may be hard due to the models lacking such animations) also, I'll say I like the detail of the dead orion guy at the drop pod crash. it explains well why he's not the player char anymore XD

Alright everyone, I have some news. I currently am able to enable side strafing to allow for better movement. The price is that the stun and grenade throwing animations no longer stop movement. I'm sure some folks wouldn't mind this, but it does significantly speed up combat in my testing. Placement is less punishing and players are afforded far more freedom in combat (such as no longer having to worry about stopping to throw grenades, or if the player is going to get hit), which does somewhat go against the idea of the mod. I'd like to hear some feedback before I make any final decisions though.

If i'm being honest i like the price of the stun effect and grenade throw animation. It forces the player to either make a smart decision to throw a grenade or just not throw one so close. The movement of the character was also fine and it makes it feel more like a marine. In my honest opinion i'm going to stick with what I said before. When it comes to movement and animations the biggest one for me would be the "Combat Roll" Just because when an enemy is shooting at you strafing isn't going to really help you not get hit. I'm not sure if it's just something that can't be done at this point?

I am somewhat limited by the tools at hand, but I am trying to implement the roll. The issue is that Bungie never intended for players to trigger it.

First off mod is amazing and would much rather keep the grenade animation(requires you to really consider if you are in the position to throw one) rather than allowing strafing as the EZ version already has this feature. On another note I noticed there is no melee animation for third person, however I don't know if that is something you can even implement for the player without breaking something else.
This is all considering that it is not an issue for my game and it is already there. lol

i've been noticing huge issues in the flood levels. Basically, all it takes is just one stray shot from any gun to make the marine flinch. that's really unbalanced when the combat forms are accompied by infection forms. you need to be on the move, but marines are generally slower than the chief. getting hit once means game over basically. an idea I'd suggest to make this less of an issue... is to make the flinching not guaranteed, but more of a chance. that way you can still be stunned, but not stun-locked so easily

Honestly, if we could get more Audio sounds that would be great. After killing some enemies we could say some things that that same marine model says. and or if we get shot by teammates our player could respond. Even when you throw frag grenades. When it comes to @LuWickios97 He has a version where you don't do the animations, In my honest opinion I like it the way it is when it comes to getting hit because, if you as a regular human takes a Round whether it being from plasma or a actual round you're going to flinch. If a infection form jumps on you it's game over. It adds more difficulty towards the flood and more of a fear factor because I know that if I get shot and those little ones are around me. Game Over.

Can we get a version of the mod thats entirely third person? Im aware the scopes probably wont work but would still be a nice option

Crazy take, why not make the marine perspective view to Master Chief's misadventure? Every mission plays out normal but Master Chief always jinx it.

Pillar of Autumn: you are that marine who is escorting Master Chief to Keyes and help him get to the lifeboat alive. One problem though, Chief skips the diagnostic routine now that shield won't be properly active. He's basically Keyes 2.0 in hell.

Halo, Chief is alive at the start and assist for you small moment until he enters the first pelican like a pansy and let you do all the work.

Truth and Reconciliation, Chief wasn't there but captured inside the CCS, you have to rescue Chief and Keyes to escape. Chief runs ahead to the Spirit and ditches you.

Silent Cartographer, you are the pilot of Bravo 022 from the pelican crash but realized all of your heavy equipment is gone and the Covenant have locked Chief inside the cartographer room. You also see the marines outside giving their all against 2 dropships. After you rescued Chief, he will immediately left you behind to the pelican.

AotCR, you play as Fireteam Zulu team and you see Chief speed running ahead of you with the banshee. The Covenant reinforce their defenses tenfold.

Guilty Spark 343, you escort chief to safety, Spark teleport everyone along with Chief.

The Library... escort Chief to the end but he only equipped with a sniper rifle which is ineffective against the flood.

Keyes, you are that same marine from TaR who got left alive in the hanger and it plays out like Firefight mode.fight countless waves of mixed enemies until the banshee comes in but Chief arrived and steals it.

The Maw, you, the ODST plow through the Autumn but Chief is 2 steps ahead of you. The self detonation started before entering engine room.

During the Warthog run, Chief appears at the bridge where Echo 419 is being shot down. Chief's Warthog is broken and he wants your vehicle in a hostile way. You can either run him over or straight up ditch him. The ending is just marine talking trash on Chief nonstop.

i would like to have marine models in all missions and not ODSTs...... also in the first mission it would be real cool to be a marine and not a cyborg

There is another mod that does that, so I don't see why you'd criticize it here when you could just play said other mod.

I's called ''HCE Ultimate Playable Marine Experience'' though from what I've read, it's a bit of a different experience altogether. Either way I still don't think the levels in this mod should be changed. I know some of the choices made aren't desired equally by all people, like I agree with the character choice for the first level, but it's ultimately the creator's call. I for my part really enjoy the ODST levels, even though I wished you could be an ODST in all levels
