OH, another way of doing this is to use the "drive prop" feature by floating the shotgun out of the shelf. Just be sure to release the prop BEFORE she plays her pickup animation otherwise the sequence breaks. This is especially useful if you're using HL2 weapon model replacements that have different worldmodel collisions, like the MMod Redux one I use.
This doesn't work with the aforementioned MMod Redux replacement because of the worldmodel collision changes, but the "drive prop" is a workaround fix for it though!
