I decided to give this another shot two months later in Precinct 84 and...
If I could give you the biggest hug known to mankind, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Y'all believe me when I say it now functions literally the same as L4B1.

  • Vocalizers finally work (bless you for adding order_no_queue) properly.
  • They can shoot again.
  • They can crown the witch effectively again (they used to keep missing the shots, even with an autoshotgun).
  • Leading will not get them stuck nor will keep them rushing.
  • They will not trail behind the player anymore.
  • If they happen to be leading when they sense a Tank nearby, they will shout a warning and go back to the player. Regardless of how many times you force them to lead, they will not because of the Tank.
  • They aren't like in August where they're more airheaded than the vanilla AI, and that means no stupid actions when being chased by a Tank or seemingly getting stuck for no reason.

Precinct 84 might've not been a good campaign to test it out for the first time (give how ruthless the campaign is), but damn, patience truly is a virtue.

The only thing that doesn't work so far is "I'm here", but I think this one on me as whenever I did that they were leading, and I have order_no_queue set to 0. I will try again tomorrow if I succeed as swapping throwables/pills work fine.

Pair this with CB+, and they're a force to be reckoned with.

With that said, hooray for Left 4 Bots 2!

well the lead command still kinda isn't fixed cuz bots still get stuck
