Enclave Reborn Redux
States not becoming Lawless
So I'm well and deep into my Purist run, defeated the NCR, Legion, Mexico and Texas but for some reason none of the states that I'm purposefully abandoning are flipping to the Lawless Wasteland anymore. Like I'm looking at 92% resistance in some states but they just won't flip. Is there some focus that just breaks the system that checks if a state should turn lawless?

Did you set them to NOT be )awless?

Also I'm pretty sure I set them to stop after a certain point because idiots kept having an issue where they were at war, would take territory, abd it flip to lawless and it messed up their front.
I specifically set them to have No Occupation as I purposefully want them to be part of the Lawless Wasteland, part of my roleplay if you will. (Strip the lands bare of industrial capacity and then leave it to chaos and reclaim whatever states I need down the road for focuses, cores or just for raw resources.)

Is there any way to re-enable the system in my game?

At this stage, no. It was too much a hassle to too many people so I apologize for the inconvenience and loss of roleplay

Today at work I did think of a way that you don't have to disable the Lawless Wasteland system AND make sure that people don't get messed up by states flipping in the middle of a war. Adjust the trigger to take into account whether the Enclave is at war or not. Would probably help patch the exploit-y way that occupied states flipping to Lawless Wasteland in the middle of a war no longer have to be demanded in a peace treaty and all that.

I might look into the coding-side of things on my own to see if it's possible and test it when I've had some rest and food.

Well, if occupation trigger manpower issue, just use enforcers (or better moto enforcers) with dogs.

They require minimum manpower, as robots.

Buddy, I already mentioned before I do it purely for roleplay purposes. I have 100 20-width PA divisions and 220 20-width LC+HC divisions, wiped the rest of the map and even then still have manpower left over if I put all states under proper occupation.

So I made a little sub-mod for testing, all I did was modify common/resistance_compliance_modifiers/enc_resistance_modifiers.txt by changing the FROM blocks in both enc_resistance_LLW and enc_resistance_0 like this.

FROM = { original_tag = ERB has_war = no NOT = { has_completed_focus = enc_reform } NOT = { has_idea = enc_lawless_wasteland } }

And it worked as intended, all my 50%+ resistance states flipped immediately on the next day (also made my game freeze for a minute or two because it had hundreds (probably over a thousand) of states to go through on that save at that point) I then declared war on the Haida, didn't actually invade and just let a random state of mine hit 50%+ resistance and it didn't flip to Lawless Wasteland for the entire duration of the war, and the moment the war ended it flipped perfectly fine.

@pohatu74, feel free to grab it for the mod, it maintains the status quo of not breaking people's front lines during a war and keeps Lawless Wasteland mechanically around for the rest of the game without issue. Only people with existing saves with ridiculous amounts of states with high resistance will briefly be affected.

And hey, if you'd like an additional member on the mod's team I'd be happy to help out.
Made it a submod
