MERC: Jaxx "WILDMAN" Savage (custom voice)

Bugs, Feedback, Suggestions
I've put a little time into play-testing WILDMAN, But have not gone deep into the campaign to hear all his voice-responses. Actually I don't even think you will hear every voice response in 1 play through. If you find voice responses that have any of the following issues, please let me know here.

  • Any obvious issues: Perks not works correctly, wrong equipment, ect
  • Broken speech
  • Audio volume (too high/ too low) I rendered the audio files with a different process, then I did for boot camp. It should be pretty good, maybe a +/- 1-2 dp for fine tuning.
  • Repetitive lines (would need to know what line, where & when it happened. So I can locate the line.
  • A voice response that doesn't make sense/fit the current situation. Would need to know what line, where, when it happened.


What's next?
  • A cigar!
  • I was given the property of merc mods from Vulture2k (they were remove from the workshop)
  • They need to be fixed before re-publishing them
  • The mercs are from Rainbow Six: Azami, Caveira, Ela, Ying & Zofia
  • I still have 5 mercs already done and just need to add voice lines
  • 1 new merc from the borderlands series. Should be released soon. Voice lines are already done
  • Would like to do The A-Team. I think the in game assets would fit but B.A. might be an a bit off
  • Granny Cohani: I might be able to cut up the conversation lines from the game, and make a small voice-response set for her.
  • Sound Overhaul Mod: I already have a vast library of sounds for a project like this. Even mixed a few custom sound efx already. Will probably wait for the mod 'Tons of Guns' to finish pushing out new weapons.

wow! that's a huge mistake on my part. So sorry! I just pushed an update. If you have jaxx in a saved game, can you test if he now produces the RT-72 grenades for me? (will produce in 7 days now)

At last minute I ended up swapping his production perk with another (unreleased) merc I'm working on. I forgot to change the code around. Also, I found jaxx production time was set to 1 day, when it's intended for 7 days. Thank you for reporting the issue.

Awesome.. so sorry I messed that up! I figured the script would produce and take effect in a saved game. Just wanted to make sure. Many thanks to reporting the problem! Glad to see Jaxx is employed!

I like the idea of music as an introduction, problem is that it's interfering with the ingame music and so you can't hear either of them coherently. Any way to mute the ingame music while he's doing his introduction thing? I mean I will propably do it manually the next time anyway but it might ruin the experience for some 'casuls'...

Yeah.. Just trying some new ways to do things and I thought it was cool. I did try to find some way to alter the in-game music, but couldn't do it. idk if that can be done honestly. Personally I play the game with the in-game music very low or off. But I did take this situation into consideration. So I increased the db volume.. I did play around with the db volume levels a lot. Maybe its to low? Only thing I could do is make it louder. what's your thoughts on that?

I think it's plenty loud already, more would be 'ear-involuntary-corpulation' propably. Idk how it is for other people but I don't like sudden loud noises or music.

If there is no way to mute the ingame music just leave it as is, whoever is interested can lower their game music on their own for the next run and listen to it as intended. Or maybe give a big fat warning in the mod description. I might be wrong there but I think you only have the chance for the initital call once, so if you hang up to turn off the ingame music, then call again, there wouldn't be any music again, right?

I agree


If starting a new game. You can reset the initial call if you back out to main screen and start a new game. For a saved game, I think you would have to reload a save. I'll take your advise and put something in the description about it.
