I know this is a bit out of the blue, but I'd love to see some early post-war soviet allies added to the game. Eastern European exile militaries and east german mechanised detachment Kasernierte Volkspolizei, stuff like that. That last one would be quite fun gameplay-wise, I've seen some documents according to which they were still using quite a lot of Wehrmacht small arms surplus until official rearmament.

One option to we consider is including the military of the Republic of Poland in exile as a representative of post-war Eastern European forces. However, it would be beneficial to thoroughly research and evaluate the specific militaries you plan to include in order to ensure historical accuracy and authenticity. By doing so, you can determine whether it is feasible and appropriate to incorporate these forces into your mod.

I know the Soviets already have a load of additions. But it would be neat to see more NKVD units. Like WW2 and Modern interior troops with PPSHs and AKs respectively. They'd be like a more elite version of the penal battalion, on a similar note to Germany's ROA, cheap line fillers. They'd also be lead by a political officer too. And I feel it would fit the tone of the mod as I can imagine the Red Army would have more NKVD oversight given how long the war has gone on with a lack of results.

I looked through the editor and there's a bunch of NKVD guys you could pull from in the base game, I even managed to make a border guard commissar. Another thing of note is that there are models of Soviet captains and colonels for both NKVD and Red Army.

On the topic of NKVD, for historical accuracy you should change the [KA] on the border militia to [NKVD], since historically the border guards/internal troops were under the NKVD, not red army.
