Sorry to hear that the mod is not working as expected for you. I just checked and the resistances seem to apply properly. Would you mind resubscribing to the mod and let me know if the issue is still there?
No worries at all! Perhaps I needed to quote your message in order for you to receive a notification.
I just checked the open beta and and I can confirm that this mod's changes aren't present there. Unfortunately, modding tools are not available for the open beta, so I won't be able to fix it until the actual release. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though, I'll keep an eye out for when that happens!
No problem at all! Appreciate you letting me know and for checking back on this thread. Hope you have a nice day as well :)
Hey Videogamer40000! I just wanted let you know that this mod has been updated for the Wolf Update 1.2 patch, so the resistances should be applying properly now!
Thank you for the update. It doesn't appear to be working for me even with the update and swapping off the open beta to the 1.2 patch however. I did reinstall the mod and have it be the only enabled mod in my modlist. If it is currently working for you then I can only assume it is some issue on my side, but I'm not entirely sure what it would be.
Sorry to hear that the update didn't help. I reinstalled and tested the mod by itself again, and it work for me, so I think unfortunately the issue might be on your side.
Has there been any other mods that you've tried that also don't work on the new patch, even though they've been updated? Also, it might be a drastic suggestion, but perhaps a reinstall of AoW4 might be worth a try.
Thank you for your help so far, by the way.
No problem at all, I'm sorry that we haven't been able to find a solution to this issue.
The only other possible solution I can think of is to download the Paradox Mod version of this mod and see if that works. The link is here: https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/67244/Any
Click the "Download mod button", unzip the folder to Documents / Paradox Interactive / Age of Wonders 4 / Mods (you might have to make the Mods folder), and rename the folder to be "Increased Unit Type Resistances and Weaknesses".
Now when you load up the launcher, you should be able to see another version of this mod in your mods list. (It'll be the one where if you click the three dots under the Disabled toggle, it'll only say "Show in folder".) Try using that version and see if the changes are present!
So after looking a bit closer and also having a friend test things on their side, it seems that Undead specifically has the issue. I was usually looking at Undead to check to see if things work, and regardless of which version of the mod is used (Steam or Paradox), and regardless of whether I or my friend run the mod, both of us have Undead using their vanilla resistances instead of the ones for this mod. If you haven't already, do you mind looking at Undead to see if they are working correctly for you?
Apologies for any confusion, by the way. I was certain that, at the very least, Ethereal wasn't working for me either, but unless downloading the Paradox version fixed that, I must have been mistaken. So for now, it just remains Undead who has the issue.
Ah, you are correct in that the Undead unit type does not have the correct Resistances. I have pushed an update to the mod, which should fix that!
Apologies for all this trouble, I must have overlooked this change while I was updating the mod. Appreciate you and your friend taking a closer look at things, it was my fault for the confusion existing in the first place.
Let's confirm that Ethereal is working for you! When taking a look at the Astral Wisp, do you see it having +2 Spirit / -6 Lightning Resistances?
No worries about overlooking Undead. Updates can frequently cause issues with a mod, and it's entirely understandable to miss something that was working just a patch before.
Happy to hear that everything is working now! Appreciate your patience and understanding with resolving this issue. :)
Thanks for supporting the mod, and I hope you continue to enjoy using it!
