First of all make sure you have "Keep Corpses" on, if still nothing, check if "reagdoll_ragdolls" is enabled if youre killing custom npcs (VJbase for example), else all fails (it really shouldnt at this point but oh well), try keeping only ReAgdoll enabled and check which mod is not compatible with ReAgdoll.

This happens whenever you have another addon that spawns its own physical ragdoll (for example RagMod!) To fix this you can go to Utilities -> ReAgdoll -> Main and uncheck "Enable ReAgdoll for Players", you can also do this with the command "reagdoll_players", if you still have "Enable ReAgdoll for spawned ragdolls"(cvar being "reagdoll_ragdolls") turned on, all spawned ragdolls should be affected and animated upon spawning, meaning that your player ragdoll will still be animated.

Does "Npc X" have a properly built ragdoll model? In general, any models that don't have proper bone structure (too floppy or simply jello) wont work at all.

In general the main things you'll want to configure is the physics push force for both general and explosion push forces (in the showcase videos i kept it at 0.001). Headshots of course should be kept on, and animations time id keep at Min: 0 and Max: 45 and keep "HitGroup Time Modifier" enabled, there is alot of things to tweak so make sure to mess around and come up with a set of configs you like the most!

ReAgdoll relies alot on the fact that ragdolls are built in a predefined way, meaning that some ragdoll mods will conflict with ReAgdoll in terrible terrible ways.

Easy and guaranteed fix is simply disabling these other addons, if you dont want to outright disable everything else, id recommend messing around with the "Animation Force multiplier" which can be found in the Ragdolls tab and cvar goes by "reagdoll_animation_force", cases of too much spinning mean that theres probably too much force being applied to the ragdoll, so try to keep the value between 0 and 1.

A: On the main category in the ReAgdoll settings there is a dropdown pressets settings at the very top, simply select the default option in it! You can also use it to of course create pressets.
