As long as More Events Mod doesn't affect the introduction events of the precursors it probably is compatible.
Is this still up to date? And if yes, how bad is it - is it only a minor inconvenience which can be "solved" with load order placement or Merger of Rules or will this brick my save sooner or later?
If I remember correctly, then expanded events overwrites the zroni and baol chains, so you won't be able to choose them and expect to actually get them. Likewise, you may (rarely) get the baol or zroni chain before you get your chosen precursor and then after that get your chosen precursor, getting two precursors even if you only wanted one.
It shouldn't completely destroy your save, and I don't think anything worse than "mild inconvenience" will happen.
