Popcorn machines and Hotdog machines now deposit the completed food items into their own containers. You can click on their inventories to grab the items. Later I plan to make these warming stations.
Soda has been revamped to use soda syrup and CO2 tanks and the water use has doubled. Deposit syrup boxes and CO2 tanks in the cabinets below the tabletop version or inside the Slurp 'n Burp to make them work. An empty syrup container makes the machine dispense carbonated water as well.
Popcorn and Hotdog machines now warm their contents.
Restaurant Display Counters now have settable options to set them up as warming stations, or drop them into a Hot or Cold option to keep food cool or cook food. Each segment can be set separately and changed on the fly.
Example: Set the station to Hot and throw in some sausages, let them cook and flip the switch to Warm and it will keep the food warm without burning them.
To cook franks and sausages to perfection just check the hotdog machines, they now have a separate menu for cooking them.
The payphones setup on discovery with a chance to ring. If you end up clicking on them they will ring and call in zombies in the immediate area up to 20 tiles, less if the zombies are inside and the phones are outside or vice versa. They also trigger zombies on floors up and down. Working an idea to give them more use. Maybe call one from a cordless or whatnot to use as a trigger but that code is not finished yet. You can still have the sounds without the attraction if you tick it off in the sandbox settings.
Deep fryers need power and vegetable oil. If the one you found did not come with oil just add it. If you do not drain the oil before you move the vat it dumps it all out, so make sure you drain it first. Finding oil in them is configured in the sandbox settings too. Once loaded with oil, turn it on and have what you need in your inventory. Each will display on the menu once you have what you need. It only does the final frying so you will need to have a few things already battered up.
Sapph's Cooking mod comes in very useful, no reason to duplicate the batter and what-not, just subscribe to that great mod for some ingredients.
doughboys, churros, and donuts can use a few different things, look or make some dough.
battered sausage become corndogs
chicken can be cut into fillets, or battered directly for fried chicken and chicken fillets.
battered fish and battered shrimp will get you their fried versions
battered small bird meat will get you chicken nuggets and battered sliced chicken will get you chicken tenders
An onion can be sliced for rings and battered, or cut up for a blooming onion
Potatoes yield skins or wedges or peel and cut them from Sapph's Cooking, good for fries and potato skins
Cheese can be battered and fried for chees sticks too.
Happy hunting!
Wall clocks now will display the time if you click on them, expect a battery requirement in the future.
Still backwards compatible with Corner Store Candies and Sodas but now preferred connection to use Corner Store Candies and Sodas Fixed instead.
Huh? And I sure can... So the bar tap needs to be connected to a basic counter, the keg needs to be in that counter. It should search for the kegs when you right click on the bar tap and update the list available to pour. If you are not getting any menu's for the kegs at all, then maybe its not listed as a "counter" in the game files. This happens with the tabletop soda fountain as well.
If you place a bartap or a soda fountain on a crate and load the crate with the kegs or syrup and co2 it won't work. I have the code limited to a counter because at the time I had no idea how to code something that would look for any container.
On the next big rewrite I plan to set up a location behind the table top soda fountains to pull from any container in that square. So you could have a stack of crates and load them up. It's still limited to 4 dispensers at this time but it will help with tetris users.
I could do the same with the bar taps, just keep in mind that if you set them up on a non-counter it might look weird, they will float in the crate for instance.
If the counter you are using a modded counter it might not work depending on it's name. If it's a vanilla counter and you can send me the name or another container that you are using, let me know what it is and I can dig deeper.
Espresso machines do everything the X-press machines do plus they grind coffee beans, make espresso, cappuccino, and lattes.
To start you won't see any menus unless you have ingredients in your inventory.
You need a cup or mug, thermos or lowball can be used for some items too.
You need water if the water was turned off.
You need a generator if there is no power.
You need tea bags for tea, instant coffee for vanilla coffee.
For expresso or brewed coffee you need to find coffee beans from Sapph's and grind them.
For cappuccinos and lattes you need milk to froth and a cup of espresso.
So for a latte or cappuccino:
grind the coffee beans
brew espresso with a cup or mug
get milk and use the cup of espresso to froth into a latte or cappuccino
See photos on the site for images of the menus
