The shield of mankind fleet relies on multiple vessels with their own roles, strengths and weakness. This allows the entire fleet to work as one organism. vessels have characteristics
such as:

- low tech builds: due to the urgency of ship manufacturing, officials chose a quantity over quality doctrine. modules like shields, rail guns and missiles (excluding nukes) are rarely used on larger vessels. this doctrine however does not apply to smaller corvettes, and frigates.

- Reliability: These vessel are made to last, they must be reliable, versatile and tough in order to survive the oncoming onslaught.

- Armoured giants: Larger vessels like cruisers and battleships are built much like the vessels of old, slower with heavy armour all round allowing no weak points or "bald spots" in the outer hull. A radial, internal engine provides adequate propulsion and protection

- Stations: Officials have ordered the production of space stations for resupplying and further defence. scientists and engineering are lending an open mind for blueprints.

Any ideas or ship designs with following these characteristics are more than welcome.
