I can't get the machine that is supposed to make batteries to work.

I have been trying to make button batteries for a while with no luck. The guide book says that the only thing i need to put in the machine to make button batteries is electrolytes. So i put electrolytes in the machine using the blood vessel wire. This causes the light on the machine to turn on. When i read the guide book it says to activate the machine when the light changes so i try to activate the machine and nothing happens. No matter how many times i try to activate it it does nothing.

At first i thought that maybe i needed to wait for the light to turn a different color but no mater how long i waited it did not change. I even tried using other mods to speed up time but the light did not change.

Does anyone know how this machine works?
