Rendering Issues On Linux, Game Window Is 'Masked' To Kill Counter
This is a discussion form of my comment from before!

Hello!
I have a bug report for Linux/Steam Deck
The way the materials are set up for the kill counter causes a game-breaking rendering bug.
On Linux, the visible window of the game is restricted to where the kill counter is.
This bug is effective from the moment you spawn, to when you close the game. `spicey_killcounter_enable 0` doesn't fix this, nor does toggling `spicey_killcounter_hl2style`

Here is a recording of me testing this bug. It's very easy to reproduce. I verified that every other addon is disabled.

If you don't have Linux, I recommend getting a virtual machine like VirtualBox and trying to replicate it there. This was done on Arch Linux on Nvidia, and I have tested it on my Steam Deck (which uses an AMD GPU). It's not a GPU bug.

Thankyou!

If you have a spare PC, getting something like KDE Neon[neon.kde.org] and installing Steam and Kill Counter there would be an ever better option than VirtualBox.

On top of this, this gets fixed if you use the 64-bit version with a CEF Fix, but the 64-bit version of Garry's Mod disables Steam Overlay if you're using the desktop version.

Thanks again!

The original bug presented in the video is fixed! However, a new bug is present.

The HL2 Styling does not carry over for some reason, instead it uses the default Noto Sans font that's installed on my system, without the yellow text or the backdrop.

Since you managed to get VirtualBox working (good stuff btw), try using EndeavourOS, with the KDE Desktop. This is closer to what the Steam Deck is running because it's based on Arch Linux and also uses the KDE Desktop.

Thanks for the help by the way! In this state it's usable but doesn't look the part of a HL2 UI element like default Garry's Mod. I'll post a screenshot soon.
