A time loop idea.
Really wish there was a feature where the tardis would not be able to materialize, and would be stuck in a time loop unable to materalize. Maybe a temporal schism that would prevent the tardis from materializing, similar to the one in Sarah Jane Adventures where the temporal schism blocked the tardis from being able to materialize? Just a suggestion.

It was in the seperate series "Sarah Jane Adventures" in the episode The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith" where tardis can't materialise.
