My monitor (XL2546) is incredibly bright; like a fog light, and it still doesn't seem too bright to me, yet it also sucks for doing any sort of color grading or post processing lol, so I've probably over tuned the post fx and that might be where it's falling short. I'll take a good look at it very soon and try to release an update in the next few days at the latest. I'm working on a few different things so this map has taken a bit of a back seat.
A dark mode is a great idea though, thanks! I'll look at adding that as a feature for when people like yourself are playing at night and don't want to have an image of this map burned into their retinas lol.
