Advice for Staying Cool?
Something I've noticed is that the start practically requires that you play in some region that does not experience heat spells. Mainly because of the inability to stay cool being not accessible until you can actually construct walls but more importantly a door that the game can count as a barrier for thermal reasons. The obvious idea of just living in a natural cave system where it is cool out doesn't work because Rimworld's thermal system doesn't allow for the creation of cooler areas

Currently I've found that my survival is dependent upon finding a door somewhere in the wilderness and utilizing another mod's ability to just create pre-neolithic walls such as VE Architect's cobblestone walls or some other mod that allows the creation of walls to stay cool because if you manage to create a room somehow the peons don't understand that they can't actually build roofs yet in order to survive.

Here's the problem though. In a completely sterile environment with only this mod, there is no way to really survive a heat filled area for long without madly shaking those dice every 24 hours hoping to RNG to get to construction. At that point you MIGHT live long enough to get out of animal level to neolithic for passive coolers.

Anyone have any recommendations of how to survive this period of heat while praying to RNGesus to keep you long enough to live to primitive cooling techniques?
